Kathleen Townsend: Many adopted children carry a ‘hole’ inside of them when there is no information available about their birth families. Through the Intuitive Journaling, I was able to revisit my infancy and early childhood as an understanding adult and rewrite that beginning chapter of my life. I found compassion and wisdom within me for the decisions and behavior of both of my families as I progressed in my work. What a blessing to find that inner peace I have sought for. And it was inside of me, waiting for a way to be expressed. I learned how in art and verse.

Brenda Schmidt: It was very interesting to discover how the picture that appealed to me and became my subject for blind contour drawing had qualities that represented certain aspects of myself. I thought it was a cool picture but did not feel particularly connected to it until I started drawing her. As I was drawing, I began realizing that I was relating to her expressions and by the end recognized that the strong and obvious emotion of joy that she was expressing was a part of me. It was a very cool emotional experience. It was wonderful to learn what the others in the workshop experienced as they were doing their work. I recommend the workshop highly.

Sherry Wright Noah: So fun! There is healing that comes from the drawings every time you look at them. I can't think of a better reason to play Art!
